According to Vastu Shastra guidelines, the most auspicious direction for setting up a home temple (Mandir) is the **North-East corner** (known as the Ishan Kona). This direction is believed to attract high positive energy and spiritual vibrations. If the northeast corner is unavailable, the East or North directions are suitable. Avoid placing the temple near toilets, under staircases, or directly facing the bedroom bed.

- Position the brass or wooden Singhasan in the center.
- Carefully place Baba Shyam's idol on the throne.
- Adorn the idol with the poshak, mukut, and Mor Pankh.
- Place a clay or brass ghee diya on the right side of the idol.
Daily Home Puja Routine
Once set up, maintain a simple daily routine of lighting the lamp, applying chandan tilak on Baba's forehead, chanting the mantra "Om Shree Shyam Devaya Namah" 108 times, and singing the morning or evening aarti. Offer fresh water daily and distribute sugar candy (mishri) as bhog prasad.
