The Phalgun Mela is the biggest event in Khatu town, attracting over 30 lakh devotees. During these days, the entire 17 km road from Ringas to Khatu is closed to vehicles and reserved for walking pilgrims carrying Nishan flags.

Volunteer camps are set up all along the route providing free food, medical aid, and resting shelters. Make sure to pack light, carry basic medications, and wear thick socks if you plan to walk barefoot.
